Complete your medical elective in the Caribbean with Caribbean Electives Abroad (CEA). Based in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, our program lets you shadow local doctors, learn in real clinical settings, and gain hands-on experience, while enjoying the unique island environment.
At CEA, your elective is fully student-focused and structured. You will be placed in carefully selected clinics or hospitals based on your specialty and availability.
During your placement, you will:

NHS Bursary Support for Overseas Electives
Many UK healthcare students may be eligible to claim reimbursement for certain overseas elective expenses through the NHS Bursary Travel and Dual Accommodation Expenses (TDAE) scheme.
Eligible expenses may include accommodation, local travel, insurance, medical tests, vaccinations and visa fees for approved overseas placements.
